Tami Bauerly | Roof Replacement | Saint Cloud, MN
Tami needed her roof replaced. Moss covered the original cedar shakes, which were also recently damaged in a hail storm. Her roof was so deteriorated and so many shakes had been broken by hail that the existing rubber roofing membrane and a majority of the underlying hardboard had to be replaced as well.
The BD Exteriors estimator met with Tami’s insurance adjustor on-site right after the storm to survey the damage. The team worked with Tami’s insurance to make sure everything was repaired perfectly, and all the costs were covered by insurance.
The BD Exteriors roofing team got to work on her beautiful St. Cloud home right off of the Mississippi, restoring the roof to its former glory and adding a new gutter screen. Now, as you can see, her home has radiant Heavy Hand Split Cedar Shakes with a staggered edge, newly replaced vents, valley tins, and chimney flashing, as well as additional vents to help with attic issues and help prevent ice dams. The team also removed and replaced 316 feet of gutter screen.
The before and after photos speak for themselves. Tami’s home shines now, as it should.
Castle Realty | Siding Replacement | St. Cloud, MN
Castle Realty needed help with their offices in Saint Cloud. The siding was quite dated and damaged in places. The fascia on the roof and soffit areas also needed to be replaced.
The BD Exteriors siding team started work, removing the existing siding and fascia on this St. Cloud office building. The building was initially encased with light brown wood siding but is now replaced with LP Smartside lap siding – a wood siding made right here in Minnesota with a 30-year warranty. Other portions of the siding were replaced with Boral Versetta Stone. Some of the front, side, and door area siding were replaced with wainscoting. We replaced the fascia with Edco steel fascia.
Before, the office building looked like a dated 1980s or 1990s building. Now, it has had new life breathed into it and looks very modern! The owner was so happy and impressed when Derrik brought him the rendering from our 3D imaging program Hover of what his project could look like. In fact, he didn’t have to spend any time trying to visualize the project – he was ready to have the work completed right away.
Eric & Missy Greene | Roof & Siding Replacement | Saint Cloud, MN
Eric & Missy’s home had been hit by hail in a recent storm. Besides that, the siding had become faded, and the shingles needed to be replaced due to the hail damage. They came to BD Exteriors to help.
The BD Exteriors estimator met with Eric & Missy’s insurance adjuster on-site after the storm and worked with the insurance throughout the project to ensure all damage was repaired, and the costs were completely covered.
The BD Exteriors team got to work quickly, removing roofing and siding from the house. The roof would be replaced with Certainteed Landmark shingles with a lifetime warranty – and they look great. The siding was replaced with Edco 6” steel siding for longer life and extra protection. The siding was installed both horizontally and vertically for added visual appeal, and a stone facade was also installed on the lower section. New fascia and an entire gutter system were also installed at the same time.
Before, the home looked a bit dated – and hail damaged – but now it’s fully updated and will last longer with better materials from Edco and Certainteed!

Megann’s Saint Cloud area home needed a lot of love. The cedar shake shingles had seriously deteriorated, while the dormers needed caps added, and gutters had to be installed as well.
The existing cedar shake shingles were removed from the house and garage, then replaced with Boral Stone Coated Cottage shingles with a lifetime warranty. The dormers received a Mule-Hide SA Base for protection with a weathered wood cap on top.
Before, the home was in substantial need of TLC. Now, it’s a lovely cottage with tons of charm and a lot more protection!
