April & Dan Ryan, Siding Replacement In Sartell

April and Dan contacted us looking for new siding. They wanted to drag their home’s facade kicking-and-screaming from the 80s into the 2020s. The dated siding just wasn’t what April and Dan wanted in their home, and they wanted advice from BD Exteriors on what to do.

Our estimator met with April and Dan to talk over their options, eventually landing on Edco brand steel siding in the color Sandstone, Edco brand vertical steel siding in the color Timber, with Boral brand Versetta Stone in the color Sterling Ledgestone.

The BD Exteriors siding team got to work right away on this Sartell home, first cleanly removing the existing wood siding from front, back, and sides of the home, including trim around windows, doors, and the roof line. Once all of the siding was removed, installation could begin.

Versetta Stone was installed on the front of the garage, bay window, and lower portion of the front face. The center of the front face was installed with the Sandstone, while the upper gables were installed with vertical siding in the color Timber. The rear and sides of the home were only done in steel without the stone. Trim boards were added, with aluminum wrapping to separate the different siding, as well as the roofline and around the windows and doors. Wainscot caps were installed under the windows as well.

April and Dan were extremely happy with the results, and you can see for yourself in our photos.

Kornovich Development Group Apartment, New Siding Installation In Sartell

Kornovich Development Group was erecting a new apartment building in Sartell on Roberts Road. They needed a trusted partner to handle a lot of siding and board and batten installation.

The BD Exteriors team worked concurrently with other contractors during construction to finish the job. Edco steel siding was installed in 4” and 8” widths, along with board and batten along the entire outside of the building. Vents, light blocks, splits, flashing tape, drip caps, soffit, fascia, decorative brackets, louvers, and other accessories were all matched in proper colors and installed. In-house, the BD Exteriors team needed to fabricate band board wraps, overhead garage door wraps, and deck wraps out of the excellent Edco white trim coil.

The Kornovich Development Group, led by Lonnie Kornovich of Clear Lake, were delighted with the results.

Kraig Lalim, Siding, Windows, & Doors Replacement In Sartell

Hopefully, Kraig Lalim of Sartell won’t mind us saying this - his home needed some work. The wood siding was seriously deteriorating, with paint chipping off and damage from water, weather, age, and critters. The windows and doors were in pretty bad shape, and the detached garage looked to be in similar condition.

The BD Exteriors estimator came up with a plan with Kraig to recreate the home and make it shine again, including siding, doors, windows, fascia, weather stripping and insulating, and more.

The team got right to work. The first step was to add fan fold insulation to the exterior of the home to provide extra insulation and a suitable surface to nail the new siding to. The new siding installed was Edco steel siding, dutch lap in Entex classic blue color. The same siding would eventually be used on the garage as well. White accessories were used throughout the house and garage, including round top gable vents, flashing, wrapping of frames, the Edco center vented aluminum soffit and fascia, and more. 

Four new Vinyl-Max single hung window units were installed to replace old windows in the porch and entry, including insulating around them with spray foam. The existing storm door on the porch was also replaced with a Larson Premier Classic Elegance Easy Vent door. 13 sets of white mastic shutters were installed on the windows. On the garage, the brick-mold was removed and lumber was installed and wrapped in aluminum.

The transformation was incredible to watch, and the photos really don’t do it justice, but please take a look.
